Vol. 45: Tokyo Brand T-Shirts [tóukiou tí:ʃə:rt]

SukezaneOne reason Tokyo brands are gaining international attention is the originality and wit behind their design concepts. T-shirts, in particular, offer a rich variety of graphics and intricate details. For this feature, we've selected T-shirts from up-and-coming, dynamic Tokyo brands, focusing on their unique designs.

For the past few years, the dominant T-shirt silhouette has been slightly loose, with dropped shoulders, longer sleeves, and a wider hem. The T-shirts we've picked this time add further playful touches, such as a slightly narrower chest width or a subtly shorter hem length. Details like the use of pockets, tie-dye-effect jersey, and refined comic-book prints also showcase fresh approaches.

In summer, the climate often dictates that a T-shirt is the sole statement piece. When that's the case, it's more interesting to wear something with a strong presence. The era of the 'dress T-shirt' is finally upon us!
