Finding True Happiness Amidst a Jinx

'Divorced is the Start of Love,' a massive hit that resonated with laughter and empathy across France, is finally being released. The film depicts a woman struggling to find a divorce partner, determined to become divorced to follow a family jinx: 'The first marriage will always end in separation.'



Isabelle, the protagonist, is played by Diane Kruger. The cool beauty, who has also modeled for Chanel, captivates audiences with her comical and charming performance. Jean-Yves, a third-rate travel magazine editor, is portrayed by Dany Boon, a beloved French comedy actor and director.

Trying to Get Divorced Before Marrying Her True Love

Isabelle is living with her perfect boyfriend, Pierre, in Paris and starting to think about marriage. However, her family has a curse-like jinx passed down through generations: 'The first marriage is bound to fail.' This makes her hesitant to tie the knot.



With her wedding to Pierre approaching, Isabelle is desperate to 'somehow become divorced!' Suddenly, Jean-Yves, a flippant travel magazine editor with no romantic charm, appears. To ensure a happy marriage with Pierre, Isabelle decides to marry Jean-Yves and divorce him immediately, joining him on his round-the-world trip. Amidst a chaotic journey—being chased by lions in the desert, having her car stolen, and inexplicably participating in a Maasai wedding—Isabelle finds herself drawn to Jean-Yves, who faces every mishap with a smile.
