BEV i7 xDrive60 Achieves Approximately 600 km Range on a Single Charge
The BEV BMW i7 xDrive60 is an all-wheel-drive model with an electric motor powering the front wheels, producing 258 ps (190 kW), and another electric motor powering the rear wheels, producing 313 ps (230 kW). The combined system output is 544 ps (400 kW) with a peak torque of 745 Nm, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. The lithium-ion battery, housed beneath the vehicle floor, has a total energy capacity of 101.7 kWh, enabling a driving range of approximately 600 km on a single charge for long journeys.
The latest charging technology supports both standard and rapid charging (CHAdeMO). With standard charging using a 6.4 kW BMW Wall Box (200V/32A), a full charge from 0% to 100% takes approximately 17 hours.
With rapid charging (CHAdeMO), a 90 kW charger, which is currently mainstream, can charge the battery from 0% to approximately 80% in about 60 minutes. Furthermore, just 10 minutes of rapid charging can extend the driving range by approximately 80 km. Additionally, using a 150 kW rapid charger, planned for installation at BMW dealerships, can charge the battery from 0% to approximately 80% in about 50 minutes. A mere 10 minutes of rapid charging with this unit can extend the driving range by approximately 130 km.
The suspension system features standard equipment across all models: "Adaptive 2-axle Air Suspension with Automatic Self-Leveling Control" and "Adaptive Suspension with Electronic Damper Control." The air supply to the suspension can be individually adjusted for each wheel, compensating for uneven loads. This ensures optimal vehicle height at all speeds, delivering comfortable and secure handling.
Driver assistance features include standard equipment such as the "Driving Assistant Professional" system, which offers traffic jam assist with hands-off function, and "Parking Assistant Professional" for fully automated parking. The intelligent personal assistant, activated by saying "OK, BMW," allows for vehicle operation and destination setting.
Prices are ¥14.6 million for the 740d, ¥14.9 million for the 740i, and ¥16.7 million for the i7.
