Limited to 30 Units, Commemorating the Founding Year

Pininfarina, founded in Italy in 1930 as a carrozzeria, has unveiled a bicycle commissioned from 43 Milano, an Italian bespoke bicycle maker.

This bicycle, a fusion of cutting-edge technology and classic materials, is named "Fuoriserie," meaning custom-made. Only 30 units will be produced, commemorating Pininfarina's founding year.



The elegantly shaped frame is crafted fromクロモリ steel tubing, expertly welded and coated with walnut burl root. The handlebars and seat are finished with hand-woven leather from The Bridge, a Florentine leather artisan. This detail is inspired by the interior of the Lancia "Astura Bocca," a car for which Pininfarina designed and only six of which were built in 1936.



While the elegant frame and Pininfarina's heritage are evident in its appearance, the bicycle incorporates the latest technology in its mechanics.



One such innovation is the option to integrate Zehus's "Bike+" electric assist system, developed in Italy. This hybrid system requires no external charging; it regenerates energy from constant speed cruising and braking, similar to a car, and the motor assists the pedals during high-load situations like climbing hills. Housed within the rear hub, this compact unit weighs just 3kg and requires no special bicycle frame design. While it operates automatically, fine-tuning settings via Bluetooth with a smartphone is also possible.



The headlight is a 205-lumen LED, and the rear features three red LEDs. For braking, the cables are from Nokon, and the calipers are Campagnolo Veloce.



The price starts at 6,000 euros (approximately 850,000 yen) for the most basic model without electric assistance, with customization options available, befitting a carrozzeria. The online store offers a more equipped version for 9,000 euros (approximately 1,300,000 yen).
