A Concept Crossover Recording 99g/km CO2 Emissions

Renault's core values can be expressed in three words: "French Touch," "Trendy," and "Sport." The Renault booth at the Tokyo Motor Show will feature a lineup designed to further appeal to these brand keywords.

Four models will be unveiled for the first time in Japan. First is the sporty concept crossover "Captur" with the theme of "traveling for two." Designed based on Renault's new design strategy, it will be presented as a study model embodying the future of road cars that Renault envisions. The dCi 160 Twin Turbo Energy Concept engine it is equipped with generates a maximum output of 160 ps and a maximum torque of 380 Nm, while achieving excellent environmental performance with CO2 emissions of 99g/km.

The "Kangoo E-Gene" will feature a stylish specification model with bumpers designed like the "Kangoo Be Bop" and a bright two-tone interior.

Wind Gordini

In addition to the premiere models, two sports models will also be exhibited

Named after the legendary racer Amédée Gordini, the "Wind Gordini" is a model based on the "Wind," a two-seater coupe roadster developed with the concept of OPEN&PLAY. It incorporates a luxurious and fashionable design befitting "Gordini," resulting in a finish brimming with Frenchness. Its hardtop, which opens and closes in just 12 seconds, is also a key feature.

The "Megane Glass Roof Cabriolet," which was praised for its fully automatic retractable glass roof in the previous model, will appear with an even more elegant design.

These models, "Kangoo E-Gene," "Wind Gordini," and "Megane Glass Roof Cabriolet," are scheduled for release in 2012.

In addition to these four Japan premiere models, two of Renault's sports models will be exhibited.
"Megane Renault Sport" is a genuine sports model that reflects technology cultivated in F1, setting a record of 8 minutes and 08 seconds at Germany's Nürburgring (Nordschleife) in a time attack this June, the fastest for a production FF car.

"Megane GT Line" has its chassis tuned by Renault Sport, which is responsible for developing race cars and sports models, achieving a balance between everyday usability and sportiness.
