A Hybrid System Forged in Le Mans

On August 7th, Toyota announced that it would exhibit the "Hybrid-R Concept" at the Frankfurt Motor Show opening in September. At the time, a teaser image of the emblem was released, and now two new images have been unveiled.

According to the press release, this vehicle is a concept car that reflects Toyota's hybrid racing technology cultivated through motorsports, designed to be a road car capable of circuit driving.

The "TS030 HYBRID," which competed in this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans and secured a podium finish in second place.

While the Hybrid-R Concept is based on a production car, its powertrain adopts a system remarkably similar to the "TS030 HYBRID" that competes in the current FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and participated in this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans. It is slated to debut as a next-generation super hybrid sports car, delivering over 400 horsepower through a combination of an internal combustion engine and electric motors.

We look forward to further developments.
