Easy-to-handle size meets Land Cruiser's signature reliability, durability, and off-road capability
Fully redesigned, the "FJ" joins the existing Land Cruiser lineup of "300," "70," and "250" as the smallest model. With "Freedom & Joy" as its concept, this vehicle is poised to deliver.

Measuring 4,575mm long, 1,855mm wide, and 1,960mm high, the FJ is 350mm shorter and 125mm narrower than the "250," the Land Cruiser's core model, making it the most compact Land Cruiser.
The wheelbase is 2,580mm, also 270mm shorter than the "250." This compact size ensures maneuverability off-road while maintaining ease of handling. It was developed to inherit the "reliability, durability, and off-road capability" that the Land Cruiser has cultivated over many years.

The traditional Land Cruiser ladder frame remains. The platform, honed through the highly reliable IMV series, has been redesigned to match the body size. Shortening the wheelbase and adding braces enhances lateral frame rigidity, contributing to superior driving stability.
Furthermore, high-strength, lightweight high-tensile steel is incorporated into the body structure, with spot welding applied to the underfloor to improve vibration damping and driving stability, resulting in a more comfortable ride.

The powertrain features a 2.7-liter inline 4-cylinder gasoline engine producing 120kW (163ps) and 246Nm of torque. Paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission (6 Super ECT), it contributes to smooth acceleration and improved control during low-speed driving and downhill descents.
The suspension utilizes a high-mount double-wishbone setup at the front and a 4-link rigid axle with a lateral rod at the rear, ensuring performance across all driving conditions, from off-road to on-road.

Additionally, off-road driving support functions are included. Downhill Assist Control (DAC) ensures stable descent on steep slopes without tire lock, while Hill Start Assist Control (HAC) mitigates rollback during uphill starts. These, along with the electronic rear differential lock, create a Land Cruiser that embodies true off-roading prowess.
The exterior is characterized by a square silhouette that honors the Land Cruiser's heritage. The front and rear corner bumpers are designed in a detachable, segmented style, allowing for replacement of only the damaged parts.

Dealer-installed options are also available for customizing the luggage space and exterior, offering the freedom to create a personalized style.
The interior features a 2-row, 5-seater configuration. The cowl is designed low to ensure safe driving on both on-road and off-road conditions, providing excellent forward visibility.

The body is available in five monotone colors, including Smoky Blue and Oxide Bronze Metallic. The price starts at ¥4,501,000.
A new electric personal mobility "Land Hopper" is also planned for release in 2027
Alongside the announcement of the TOYOTA Land Cruiser FJ, Toyota revealed plans to launch the electric personal mobility "Land Hopper" in spring 2027 or later.

The "Land Hopper" is a specific small motorized bicycle with a two-wheel front structure, operable by individuals aged 16 and above without a license. Its compact, foldable design also allows it to be carried in a car's luggage compartment.
This new "member of the Land Cruiser family" promises not only the joy of off-road exploration beyond where the Land Cruiser can take you, but also practical everyday use.
