The "DS3 Electrum" is equipped with two 65kW (approx. 88ps) motors on the front axle. Its total output of 176ps surpasses the 156ps of the 1.6-liter DOHC turbo engine in the current "DS3 Sport Chic" model, providing ample performance for the compact "DS3" body.

The battery is a Panasonic lithium-ion unit with a capacity of 17.5kWh, enabling a maximum range of 120km on a single charge. The charging port is located within the fuel filler flap, similar to gasoline models, and can reach 80% capacity in just 30 minutes using a rapid charger.

Citroën states that the electrification process has maintained the same cabin and luggage space, as well as passenger comfort, as the existing "DS3." Furthermore, despite achieving perfect zero emissions, the "DS3 Electrum" retains the same driving enjoyment as ever.

Given its current range, Citroën positions the "DS3 Electrum" primarily as a city car. However, with its distinctive design and engaging driving experience, this concept car demonstrates that ecology doesn't have to be dull. Details regarding production and market launch have not yet been announced.
