Watches & Wonders 2021 New Release: The "Tambour Street Diver" in Vibrant Colors for City and Sea

A new collection, the "Tambour Street Diver," has joined the "Tambour," Louis Vuitton's iconic watch.

The "V" of the diving scale and minute hand align to form an "X," symbolizing the start of a new adventure.

The "Tambour," which debuted in 2002 as Louis Vuitton's first full-fledged watch collection, welcomes a new addition: the "Tambour Street Diver" collection.

The "Tambour Street Diver" is characterized by its robust, edgy, and sporty silhouette. Designed to be versatile from the gym to the beach to the office, it retains the colorful, creative, and unconventional stylistic details central to the Maison, while incorporating the essential elements of a traditional marine sports watch.

The sporty appeal extends beyond its appearance, with functions essential for underwater use. Features include a screw-down crown, 100m water resistance, a dial with Super-LumiNova treatment, and an anti-clockwise rotating inner bezel, providing practicality for both everyday and extraordinary occasions.

The diving scale is positioned on the rotating bezel inside the sapphire crystal. This maintains the clean and minimalist aesthetic of the "Tambour" case top, while the gently sloping flange inside adds depth and strength to the dial.

The diving inner bezel is set using a contrasting color crown located at the 1:30 position. To distinguish it from the winding crown at 3:30, this crown features a diver's silhouette.

Furthermore, the innovative "V alignment" concept is employed: by rotating the alphabet "V" on the diving scale to align with the matching color "V" at the tip of the minute hand, a playful "X" is formed, signifying the start of a dive and a new adventure.

Time spent underwater can be read from the inner bezel, with the first 15 minutes highlighted by a vibrant color block design.

The "Tambour Street Diver" is available in three automatic models and one quartz model, marking the arrival of an edgy, sporty Tambour that makes a statement both in the city and underwater.
