Mu-metal Inner Case Fully Covers the Movement
Founded in America, BALL WATCH has previously developed diver's watches for deep-sea use, such as the "Alligator," named after a submersible developed during the Civil War, and the "Hunley," the U.S. Navy's first submarine.
The "Submarine Warfare," released in December 2018, signifies "submarine" and was developed with a focus on enhanced visibility and magnetic resistance compared to previous models. Its sharp matte black dial, simple symmetrical design, and anti-reflective sapphire crystal ensure excellent legibility. The inner case, which secures and protects the movement, is the first in the watch industry to utilize the special material Mu-metal, achieving a high magnetic resistance of 80,000 A/m (1000 Gauss).
Digital devices typically emit strong magnetic fields. However, thanks to the Mu-metal's high magnetic resistance of 80,000 A/m, the movement remains unaffected even when placed close to a smartphone's speaker, ensuring high precision.
This model also features the crown protection system, a hallmark of BALL WATCH. The structure prevents the protection plate from locking unless the crown is fully screwed down after time adjustment, preventing accidental omission and simultaneously protecting the crown.
The hands and the indices around the outer edge of the dial are equipped with a total of 16 of BALL WATCH's proprietary self-powered micro gas tubes. Boasting approximately 70 times the luminosity of conventional luminous paint and maintaining luminescence for over 10 years, they ensure exceptional visibility even in complete darkness.
