Co-developed Paracord Strap Approved for Use by the U.S. Military

The Victorinox Swiss Army I.N.O.X. series is a flagship line that boasts ultimate quality, achieved through the development of parts and materials, and meticulous design, to ensure accurate timekeeping even under exceptionally harsh conditions. The stainless steel case, crafted using forging techniques, showcases Victorinox's expertise in steel processing, honed over more than 130 years.

In addition to the Swiss Watch Industry Standard (NIHS) criteria, 30 unique durability tests were conducted, including impact tests from a 10-meter drop onto concrete, pressure tests under a 64-ton tank, approximately 2-hour dust and water resistance tests in sandstorms and washing machines, extreme temperature tests from -51℃ to +71℃, acceleration/deceleration load tests at 12G, and corrosion resistance tests with chemicals such as gasoline, solvents, detergents, and insecticides. The I.N.O.X., encased in reinforced stainless steel that passed all 130 tests, is a model of exceptional durability and robustness.

In addition to the rubber strap model and stainless steel bracelet model, the I.N.O.X. series now includes the "I.N.O.X. PARACORD" model with a paracord strap. The I.N.O.X. PARACORD was born as a model embodying the Victorinox brand theme of "Every day's Adventure." Its most distinctive feature is the adoption of a paracord strap.



The paracord strap was born from a collaborative development with Naimakka, a cutting-edge Swedish outdoor brand. By meticulously hand-weaving paracord (parachute cord), approved by the U.S. military and consisting of 7 strands, not only was an edgy design achieved, but it also successfully incorporated practical functions as a versatile survival tool.

When unraveled, the strap becomes a robust multi-strand nylon cord, 90cm long (x2), with a load capacity of 250kg. It can be utilized as an all-purpose survival tool in emergencies, for tasks such as setting up a shelter by stringing up the rope, connecting kayaks, creating a fishing net, or as a replacement for broken shoelaces.
