A design this elegant is rarely seen in contemporary pieces.
The color contrast is particularly beautiful. I also appreciate its understated impression.
It also scores highly for housing the latest manufacture movement.

Audemars Piguet has unveiled the "Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet [sic] Chronograph," a reinterpretation of a 1943 chronograph, featuring updated technology and enhanced dial legibility. This release commemorates the opening of the "Musée Atelier" and will be available in a limited edition of 500 pieces exclusively at boutiques.

An Elegance Model Reviving Haute Couture Design for Today

The "Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet [sic] Chronograph" is a new creation that reinterprets the "1533," a unique piece presented by Audemars Piguet in 1943, utilizing the manufacture's latest technology and an enhanced dial design for improved legibility.
This first-ever remastering project shines a spotlight on the manufacture's creativity during the turbulent era of World War II, resulting in 500 limited edition pieces that fully capture the original 1943 design. Key features include a sophisticated two-tone design combining stainless steel and 18K pink gold, along with a remastered chronograph function powered by the latest movement.
Faithful to the design codes of the original "1553" model, it features a round case and lugs, an 18K pink gold bezel, olive-shaped pushers, and a chamfered crown. The slim bezel frames the meticulously finished dial without obstruction, while the teardrop lugs accentuate the harmonious curves of the two-tone case. The case is also hand-polished.
The gold-toned dial is balanced with black hour markers, 18K pink gold hands, blued steel chronograph hands, and a tachymeter scale. The indexes use an Art Deco-inspired font, achieving legibility that meets modern standards.
The case measures a slightly larger 40mm than the original model, with modifications to the chronograph counters. This chronograph is equipped with the manufacture's latest self-winding movement, integrating a column wheel and flyback function. The sapphire case back allows for appreciation of the chronograph mechanism's beauty. The winding rotor features a satin finish and the traditional Clous de Paris guilloché decoration, used by Audemars Piguet since the 1950s.
