Features Retrograde Minutes, Jumping Hour, and Power Reserve Indicator
The "GT Tour Blue Edition," a new addition to the "GT Tour" collection, is now available from RESERVOIR, an emerging French watch brand known for its designs inspired by measuring instruments. The watch has been available since October 1, 2020.
RESERVOIR was born in Paris, France, in 2016 with the concept of being an "innovative brand inspired by the functionality and aesthetics of vintage measuring instruments." Founder François Moreau, fascinated by vintage measuring instruments since childhood, is known for creating bold and original collections inspired by gauges found in automobiles, submarines, and aircraft, such as speedometers and fuel gauges.
The "GT Tour" collection pays homage to the many legendary car races and drivers of the 1960s to 1990s. Its distinctive feature is the embodiment of the sports car gauge aesthetic through three mechanisms.
This module's product development is carried out in Switzerland, and manufacturing takes place in La Chaux-de-Fonds, a city renowned for watchmaking in the country, thus realizing the brand's identity. The minute hand is retrograde, moving in a 240-degree arc, and returns to the "0" point every 60 minutes, faithfully reproducing the imagery and world of gauges. There is no hour hand; instead, the number in the window at 6 o'clock instantly changes every hour, functioning as a jumping hour. Below this is the power reserve display.
While the "GT Tour" collection previously featured models with stainless steel or black carbon cases and black dials, the new model combines a stainless steel case with a blue dial and red hands for enhanced legibility, creating a sportier impression.
The strap is fitted with calfskin leather with red stitching as standard, but a replacement NATO strap is also included.
