A Pinky Promise for a Brighter Future

Globally, approximately 250 million children currently live in countries affected by conflict, and millions more are at risk from natural disasters and rapidly spreading infectious diseases. Every day, somewhere in the world, children endure lives filled with violence, persecution, and hardship. "#MAKEAPROMISE DAY" is Louis Vuitton's first initiative to forge new promises that bring hope for a better life to these children.



On this day, stores worldwide will sell the "Silver Lockit" (pendant ¥77,760 and bracelet ¥64,800), specially designed to support UNICEF. Guests will be encouraged to make a "pinky promise" with someone they visit the store with and share that promise online using the hashtag "#MAKEAPROMISE."

In Japan, photo booths will be set up at two stores: Louis Vuitton Matsuya Ginza and Louis Vuitton Osaka Shinsaibashi. The official Louis Vuitton application, "Louis Vuitton Pass," will also allow users to share photos taken with UNICEF-colored confetti on social media.

Michael Burke, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, stated, "Through this initiative, we will unite global efforts to raise awareness and funds for children. We believe in the power of word-of-mouth. Louis Vuitton's goal is to connect with as many people as possible and bring about real change."
