Featuring buzzworthy films from fresh talent, including directorial work by young actress Mélanie Laurent
The 5th My French Film Festival (myFFF) offers a glimpse into the current landscape of French cinema. The 4th edition, held last January, garnered significant attention, with over 4 million views across 13 countries.
The 5th edition, like the previous one, will be screened in 13 languages, including Japanese. Ten feature-length and ten short films, primarily by emerging filmmakers, will compete. Presiding over the jury is French director Michel Gondry, known for films such as "Mood Indigo" and "Eternal Sunshine," as well as music videos for artists like The Rolling Stones and Björk. Gondry, also a creator in his own right, designed the poster for this year's myFFF. Additionally, three film directors from Belgium and Israel will serve as jury members for the feature films. An International Press Award, decided by six journalists from magazines and newspapers, and an Audience Award, determined by public vote, will also be announced after the festival.
This year's feature film lineup includes "Respire," the second feature directed by young actress Mélanie Laurent, known for her roles in "The Double" and "Orchestra." The selection also features buzzworthy films brimming with fresh talent, such as "Party Girl" and "Love Is in the Air." Classic cinema will be represented by René Clément's masterpiece "Purple Noon," and from Quebec, Canada, the feature film "The Gods of Circumstance" and the short film "Someone Else" will be introduced.
French cinema, with its unique atmosphere, is beloved worldwide. Enjoy the distinct pleasure of an online film festival, choosing and watching films at your own pace.
