Kyoto's Popular Scones Make Their Kanto Debut

Pacific DRIVE-IN is a drive-in cafe located on the ocean side along Route 134, in the center of the Shichirigahama Kaigan parking lot, one of Shonan's premier surf spots. The interior, designed with natural materials, features large windows overlooking the sea, creating a sense of openness. With terrace seating also available, guests can relax and enjoy a luxurious meal while taking in the spectacular views. The staff uniforms were designed by the select shop "BEAMS" with the theme "PREPPY BEACH."



The food menu features exquisite Hawaiian plates, including the local specialty "Garlic Shrimp Plate" from Kahuku, Hawaii, "Breakfast Ham & Egg" made with free-range eggs, and "Kalua Pork Plate" using pork slow-cooked for four hours. All dishes are said to recreate authentic flavors tasted during travels in Hawaii.

Other offerings include the "BLTA Sandwich," made with original square bread "Butter Rich" boasting a rich fermented butter aroma, and "Buttermilk Pancakes" with a fluffy yet chewy texture. The food menu was developed by "W Factory," which also created the natural yeast bakery "wakanapan + SUNDAY JAM" in Hayama. Coffee is roasted by Shonan roaster "27 COFFEE ROASTERS."

Furthermore, "NAKAMURA GENERAL STORE," a Hawaiian pastry shop from Kyoto, makes its Kanto debut as a shop-in-shop. After heading the pastry section at "Diamond Head Market & Grill," a renowned spot for plate lunches and scones in Hawaii, the shop opened in Kyoto in December 2012 and quickly became a huge hit. They will be offering their highly acclaimed blueberry cream cheese scones in limited quantities.

Additionally, original merchandise featuring sun-tanned Snoopy designs, supervised by "SPECIAL PRODUCT DESIGN," will be available. In the future, the cafe plans to host various events as a new hub for surf culture.
