A Popular Restaurant Favored by Musicians and Artists

Okonomi Tamachan is popular for its Osaka-style dishes like okonomiyaki and teppanyaki, best enjoyed with beer. It all began in 2008 when Tetsuo Tamai, a proponent of soulful food, decided to open a small, 7-tsubo (approx. 23 sq m) restaurant in Osaka's Horie district, envisioning a modern take on a neighborhood okonomiyaki place from his youth.

Gradually, the restaurant grew into a vibrant space filled with the clinking of glasses in cheers, the enticing aroma of grilled horumon, and the laughter of patrons. This energy attracted many musicians and artists, cementing its status as a renowned establishment in Osaka.

Now, Tamachan has partnered with Transit General Office, the company behind "bills," known for its "world's best breakfast," and involved in hotel planning and operations, to launch Okonomi Tamachan Aoyama Store in Tokyo.

The Aoyama store features a menu of okonomiyaki and teppanyaki dishes, perfect with beer, bringing the same lively spirit of Osaka to Tokyo.

The name "Okonomi Tamachan" itself reflects the desire for customers to freely choose and enjoy their meal. At the Aoyama store, much like in Osaka, guests can immerse themselves in Tamachan's unique "mixed-up aesthetic"—a blend of diverse flavors and vibrant energy—and experience the soulful everyday life of Osaka through all their senses.
