hiro morise: A designer with extensive experience in denim.
KUNNA, launched in 2001, is a denim brand by hiro morise, who grew up during the dawn of jeans in the 1970s. After gaining experience in the Japanese denim industry, including at Levi's Japan, he moved to the US in '98. Establishing his base in LA, he has been involved in the development of brands such as "INDIGO HAND," "SEVEN," and "BLUE CULT," releasing numerous denim brands into the world.
KUNNA distills hiro morise's own lifestyle, from past to present, and over 30 years of experience. The brand meticulously crafts its pieces, focusing not only on silhouette and fabric development but also on the threads themselves, with indigo dyeing inspired by the LA coast, achieved through repeated trial and error.
All jeans are made in the USA. The theme for this fall/winter season is "Cal Rock" and "Blue," inspired by the vast California ocean. Items such as indigo-dyed denim sets showcase both expert denim craftsmanship and sophisticated design.
