The new Emporio Armani flagship store in Japan, "Emporio Armani Aoyama," has opened within Oak Omotesando. We bring you coverage of the opening event held on Thursday, April 18th.

Performances by international guests also took place. The popular rising duo "Say Lou Lou" flew in for this party, and members Blaine Harrison and Kapil Trevedi from the British rock band "Mystery Jets" presented a DJ performance. We received comments from both artists after their sets.

──What are your thoughts on the party?
“I’ve been to many parties, but this one is exceptionally high quality. It’s a gathering of fashionable and unique people, so I selected a mix of music from various genres.”
──What are your impressions of the Emporio Armani Aoyama store?
“I’ve visited Japan five or six times and have been to Omotesando several times. The entire area is very sophisticated, and this shop, in particular, is modern and beautiful. I’m wearing an Emporio Armani jacket right now, and it’s wonderful. I feel embraced with love, truly.”

“Japanese people have style and are fashionable. They enjoy dressing up, and I’ve seen a lot of fashion that highlights individuality.”
──Could you share your thoughts after the party?
“I’ve always felt a sympathy for Emporio Armani’s timeless creations. I’m honored that the stylish fashion people of Japan enjoyed our performance.”
