Meguro Interior Collection 2013 to Be Held
MISC (Meguro Interior Shops Community), a shop community comprising 43 member stores including furniture shops and cafes/restaurants along Meguro Dori, will hold its "Meguro Interior Collection" for the second year. This year's event will kick off from November 1st (Fri) to November 4th (Mon, holiday), centered around Meguro Dori.

A Festival for Meguro Dori's Interior Shops
Meguro Dori is known for its unique shops dealing in furniture and interiors, a fitting characteristic for "Miscellaneous," meaning "diverse" in English. MISC is a community formed in 2007 by 43 furniture shops, cafes, and restaurants in the area, aiming for regional revitalization and acting as a collective of shops that express their distinct tastes.
MISC's activities include launching a portal site for shop searches and enjoying strolls, as well as establishing a logo mark designed by graphic designer Taku Satoh, inspired by the character "目" (me), meaning "eye" or "look" in Japanese, representing both Meguro and discerning taste.
The "Meguro Interior Collection," a major event in MISC's activities and a wish for the further development of the "city of furniture," will be held again this year.
Diverse Events Including Exhibitions and Talk Shows
Events collaborating with various fields such as interiors, fashion, architecture, ecology, film, and food will unfold. Hotel Claska, located along Meguro Dori, will serve as one of the venues. During the event, furniture exhibitions and talk shows by interior shop owners will be held.
In addition, there will be collaborative projects with furniture using projection mapping, introductions to concept films, and organic food offerings. Furthermore, each participating store will host stamp rallies and display architectural models, promising a packed schedule.
Meguro Dori, where every kind of furniture can be found—from Scandinavian to casual 1960s American and classic European antiques—will be even more vibrant for these ten days. We invite you to enjoy a stroll along Meguro Dori, lined with shops that possess unique tastes and distinct styles, coinciding with this celebration.
