The Trajectory of a Brand Embodying 100 Years of History
Bang & Olufsen was founded in 1925 in Struer, northern Denmark, by Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen. For the past century, the innovative spirit of its founders has continued to produce products that fuse exceptional sound with sophisticated design.

This exhibition introduces Bang & Olufsen's design philosophy, which has balanced functionality and aesthetics, through iconic products from each era, the work of designers, and its advertising and visual expressions.
It is composed of three sections to explore the brand's aesthetics over 100 years and its current position from multiple perspectives.
In "100 Years of Acoustic Technology and Design," we trace the brand's 100-year trajectory through iconic products by six designers who embody the brand's aesthetic, starting from the manufacturing philosophy of the two founders.
In "Collaboration with Japanese Craftsmanship," we introduce projects where the craftsmanship spirit valued by Bang & Olufsen resonates with Japan's unique traditional crafts. It focuses on initiatives that expand the possibilities of sound and design, connecting Northern Europe and Japan, including the fully custom-made service "Atelier."
The "Listening Room" offers a space where visitors can simultaneously experience exquisite design that harmonizes with interiors and fashion, along with superior acoustic systems. Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of Bang & Olufsen, which enriches lifestyles, through stories from users and curated playlists. A space is also provided for trying out speakers and headphones.
At the venue, there is a pre-sale of a book scheduled for publication in May 2026 to commemorate the 100th anniversary, as well as sales of original exhibition merchandise.
What has supported the brand's long history of 100 years is not just its superior acoustic technology. It is the ability to appeal to the senses and move the heart of users and viewers through beautiful product design and delicate sensibility. This is likely the true reason why Bang & Olufsen has been loved for a century.
