Designs Inspired by the Motif of “Travel”

The “Objets Nomades Collection” is a travel and home collection inspired by the essence of travel, inherited by Louis Vuitton.

The “Bomboca Sofa,” which was first shown at Milan Salone in April and now has a new color model added to the collection at Design Miami 2017, is a modular sofa inspired by cloud shapes and colorful, round sea apples. Eight removable cushions are arranged within a leather-covered shell.

The leather is the same material used for Louis Vuitton's bags. The cushions are made of velvet and textured fabrics, combined in five colors ranging from blue to turquoise. The name, meaning “very delicious (good),” is inspired by sweets served at Brazilian weddings and children's parties.

Other new additions to the collection include the “Swing Boat” and “Belt Chair” by Atelier Oï, the “Talisman Table” with leather marquetry by India Mahdavi, the rocking chair “Rond Chair” by Marcel Wanders, and the “Diamond Screen.” Some of these pieces will be on display at the Louis Vuitton Miami Design District store.
