Louis Vuitton's Vision of Art de Vivre (A Rich Lifestyle)
Milan Design Week has once again opened. Louis Vuitton presented its exhibition at the historic and elegant Palazzo Serbelloni, also unveiling its first "Home Collection" featuring furniture, lighting, home decor, and home textiles, marking a new step forward.
The "Home Collection" is Louis Vuitton's new chapter in its proposal for Art de Vivre (a rich lifestyle).
For this new chapter, the Maison features two textile designers. Futurist artist Fortunato Depero, whose graphic world inspires textiles and tableware, and Charlotte Perriand, who has already presented her own textile collection, together present a new worldview.
Unique items include a pinball machine inspired by Pharrell Williams and a football game by Humberto Campana.
Also on display were black lacquered items by Japanese design studio "nendo," sparkling Limoges porcelain with the Monogram motif, and the exotic "Jungle" collection created with Laboratorio Paravicini.
Furthermore, the "Objets Nomades Collection," launched by Louis Vuitton in 2012 through collaborations with renowned artists and talents from the contemporary design world, has been further enriched.
The limited-edition "Objets Nomades Collection" is a co-creation between prominent artists such as India Mahdavi, Patricia Urquiola, and Estudio Campana, and Louis Vuitton's skilled artisans. These art-like pieces harmoniously complement the luxurious Palazzo Serbelloni.
The exhibition also featured the Maison's iconic trunks, as well as the "Louis Vuitton Signature" collection, which offers fresh interpretations of the iconic codes through artists' creations, captivating visitors.
This collection proposes Louis Vuitton's lifestyle, blending contemporary esprit, savoir-faire (craftsmanship), innovation, and design. With the addition of the "Home Collection," its future developments are eagerly anticipated.
