Florence Craftsmanship: Applying Metal Leaf
The "SHOE STOOL" is a stool designed specifically for shoes. While compact at 250mm wide for a stool, it serves not only as a seat for putting on and taking off shoes but also as a footrest for tasks like tying laces or brushing footwear. It also includes storage for accessories such as brushes, cloths, creams, sprays, and shoehorns.
The Italian company "OPINION CIATTI," reissuing the stool with a new finish, was founded in the 1950s and is a furniture maker based in Florence that emphasizes "Made in Italy."
The new finishes for the SHOE STOOL, presented as part of their new collection, come in four colors: silver, copper, gold, and gloss white. Each features a beautiful finish where Florentine artisans meticulously apply metal leaf by hand, one sheet at a time.
During the Milan Salone, the stool can be viewed at two locations: the main exhibition hall and the manufacturer's showroom.
