New Size and Frame Color Options Available

In 1934, when Le Corbusier moved to 24 Nungesser-et-Coli in Paris with his wife Yvonne, he designed this generous sofa for their living room in collaboration with Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand. The apartment was divided into two spaces: one served as his atelier, the other as a private area.

Cassina first reissued this "LC5 Sofa" in 1974, but until now, it was only available with a chrome frame in a single size. Following a thorough analysis of archival documents, this new version is the result of a collaboration with the Fondation Le Corbusier and the heirs of the co-authors. Compared to the first model, it features new finishes and an enlarged size.

Honoring the creators' vision, Cassina developed this project using the original sofa from the Parisian apartment. The backrest, which extends to the base of the frame, and the generous cushions are filled with feathers for enhanced comfort. The distinctive metal frame, characteristic of the LC series representing the contemporary, can be selected from seven colors.
