First Electric Vehicles to Feature in Next-Generation GranTurismo and GranCabrio
The Maserati test car, heard producing a distinctive sound in the video at the end of the article, was developed entirely at the Maserati Innovation Lab in Modena, Italy. Along with the powertrain, Maserati’s signature sound is also being developed concurrently.
Maserati states that even in its 100% electric form, the unique engine note that defines a Maserati will be preserved, just as it is with its internal combustion engine models.
Maserati's first electric vehicles are slated for the next-generation GranTurismo and GranCabrio. These models are expected to combine the advantages of electric drivetrains with the driving pleasure, comfort, performance, and signature Maserati sound.
