Art and Historic Sports Cars from '2G' Exhibited During the Period

Porsche's first all-electric sports car, the Taycan, is finally being delivered in Japan. To coincide with this, 'Porsche Taycan Pop-up Harajuku' has opened, offering not only the chance to physically interact with the Taycan on display but also a lottery-based experiential test drive for those who apply in advance.
The space, designed to embody the world of the Taycan, will also host various exhibitions and events throughout the period. From December 8 (Tue) to 13 (Sun), limited merchandise by contemporary artist Daniel Arsham will be displayed, created by '2G,' a new-style studio formed by the convergence of top talents in three genres: 'Gallery' by NANZUKA, 'Concept Shop' by KOGI 'POGGY' Motofumi and Daytona International, and 'Art Toy' by MEDICOM TOY. Additionally, the art piece 'Crystal Eroded Porsche 911,' a collaboration between Porsche and Daniel Arsham, will be showcased.

From December 14 (Mon) to 17 (Thu), a 1955 '356A' from the Porsche Museum in Germany, which has traveled to Japan, will be on display. On December 18 (Fri) and 19 (Sat), in conjunction with the finals of the Porsche E-Sports Racing Japan Season 2, a 911 GT3 Cup will be available for close viewing.
The Taycan, which made its world premiere in September 2019, is equipped with two electric motors, one front and one rear. It achieves 0-100 km/h acceleration in 2.8 seconds and has a maximum range of 426 km. Porsche states that the body utilizes lightweight and easily recyclable aluminum, while the interior features sustainable materials such as club leather made from olive leaves and recycled fibers.
