Pursuing the "Essence of Crown for a New Era"
The Crown was born in 1955 as Toyota's first mass-produced passenger car, built with unique Japanese technology. The "innovation and challenge" DNA, forged through the hardships of developing its first proprietary luxury car in the post-war era, has been passed down through successive generations of the Crown for 67 years, always pursuing new value one step ahead of the times. However, the pace of change has accelerated, and the Crown struggled to meet the diverse needs of users, leading to a dilution of its flagship presence. This is an undeniable fact.
Consequently, the development team for the new model thoroughly re-examined "What is a Crown?" and, in pursuit of "the essence of Crown for a new era," created four entirely new Crown models. The lineup includes the "Crossover," a new style blending sedan and SUV; the "Sport," with an emotional atmosphere and sporty driving enjoyment in an easy-to-handle package; the "Sedan," offering a new formal expression and catering to chauffeur needs; and the "Estate," a functional SUV with a mature ambiance and a comfortable ride. These models are scheduled for sequential global release in approximately 40 countries and regions.
The body dimensions of the first model, the Crossover, are 4,930mm in length, 1,840mm in width, and 1,540mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850mm. The exterior combines a stylish coupe-like silhouette with a powerful lift-up style, expressing the form of a new era flagship that balances fluidity and dynamism. The design, featuring a continuous headlamp and taillamp across the width and a side view that expresses quality through surface undulations rather than character lines, is simple yet possesses both sharpness and grandeur.
The interior features a functional layout where displays and controls are concentrated horizontally, allowing for intuitive operation from any seat. The design creates a continuous, enveloping space from the instrument panel to the doors, enabling the driver to concentrate on driving and providing a comfortable journey for passengers, realizing the concept of "every seat being a special seat."
Each component has been meticulously crafted to create a refined and rich space, including "WARM STEEL" metallic accents that offer warmth without excessive ornamentation, a shift knob with a tactile feel and comfortable grip, and seats designed for both excellent tailoring and a secure seating experience.
The exterior colors express the transformation of the new Crown with distinctive two-tone color coordination, including newly developed "Precious Bronze" and "Precious Ray." A total of 12 body color options and 4 interior color combinations offer a wide range of choices.
