Porsche Japan has introduced the Taycan GTS, a Gran Turismo Sport model with a range exceeding 500km, to the Taycan full-electric sports car range. Pre-orders are now open.

The Taycan, bearing the name 'GTS' which holds special significance for Porsche since the debut of the '904 Carrera GTS' in 1963, has finally arrived.

The Taycan GTS, which made its world debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 17, 2021, boasts a WLTP range of up to 504km, making it the first Taycan Gran Turismo Sport model to surpass the 500km barrier.

Currently, the Taycan is available with five motor options and two body variations. The newly announced GTS is positioned between the Taycan 4S and Taycan Turbo.

With launch control engaged, the power reaches an impressive 440kW (598PS) of overboost. It accelerates from 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds and achieves a top speed of 250km/h.

The adaptive air suspension, including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), has been optimized for the GTS to enhance lateral dynamics. The optional rear-axle steering setup has also evolved for sportier performance.

Furthermore, the sound pattern has been modified for this GTS, a distinctive feature of the new GTS model.

The exterior is enhanced with GTS-specific elements such as the front apron and exterior mirror bases, finished in black or dark tones. The interior features a brushed aluminum interior package with a black anodized finish, creating an elegant yet dynamic atmosphere.

Additionally, an optional panoramic roof with sunshine control is now available. This roof utilizes an electrically switchable liquid crystal film to transition from transparent to matte, protecting occupants from glare without darkening the cabin. The roof, divided into nine segments, can also be individually controlled for transparency and opacity.

The Taycan GTS is available only with right-hand drive and is priced at 18,070,000 yen.
