TOYOTA's ultra-compact EV will be exhibited at "FUTURE EXPO," a hands-on mobility theme park held at the Mega Web venue during the Tokyo Motor Show 2019.
This two-seater vehicle was developed with the assumption that new drivers, the elderly, and others would use it for daily short-distance travel, such as shopping. TOYOTA describes it as next-generation mobility with a low environmental impact in terms of energy consumption, space, and noise, and it is capable of traveling approximately 100 km on a single charge.
Additionally, the ultra-compact EV business concept model announced this June will also be exhibited at "FUTURE EXPO." This single-seater model is developed for business use, such as short-distance delivery or patrol duties, and functions as a "mobile my office" that allows for work and rest inside the vehicle.
Furthermore, TOYOTA will showcase its ultra-compact three-wheeled EV, the "i-Road," as well as walking area EVs that can be ridden standing or sitting, and a wheelchair-accessible type, at the Tokyo Motor Show. Test rides will be available on "OPEN ROAD," the symbolic road connecting the Ariake and Aomi areas.
The Tokyo Motor Show 2019 will hold press days on Wednesday, October 23, and Thursday, October 24. It will be open to the public from Friday, September 25, to Monday, November 4 (holiday).
