Features 23-inch Wheels, the Largest for a Mercedes-Benz Passenger Car
As its name suggests, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC, with "S" denoting its class appended to "GL," representing Mercedes-Benz's SUVs, is based on the GLS – the company's largest and most commanding SUV, offering excellent on-road and off-road performance. It has been refined into a model that embodies the ultimate luxury SUV befitting the Mercedes-Maybach name.
The exterior, based on the GLS's body form and advanced technology – praised as the "S-Class of SUVs" – merges the highest standards of luxury and comfort found in sedans. To express its special position, the styling is described as dignified, stylish, and powerful.
The front features the traditional "Three-Pointed Star" hood ornament, unique among Mercedes-Benz SUVs. The front grille is inspired by vertical pinstripes. These pinstripes are shaped like oars, wider at the top, and the "MAYBACH" lettering is engraved on the upper center of the chrome surround. The front apron has chrome-finished mesh air intakes, subtly showcasing the V8 engine's power while also providing cooling for the engine compartment.
A striking feature of the side view is the chrome-finished B-pillar, intended to visually suggest the spaciousness of the rear seating area, particularly from the B-pillar to the C-pillar. The roof rails are also finished in high-gloss chrome, balancing functionality and aesthetics. The D-pillar is adorned with the Mercedes-Maybach emblem.
The aluminum wheels are 23 inches, the largest for a Mercedes-Benz passenger car, featuring a forged, polished multi-spoke design inspired by the pinstripes of the front grille.
