Show Car for Ultra-Luxury BEV Sedan "Celestiq" Unveiled Globally
Cadillac has unveiled the show car for its ultra-luxury BEV sedan, the "Celestiq."
Inspired by Custom Craftsmanship, Incorporating Innovative Technology
The flagship sedan Celestiq, conceived to lead Cadillac's all-electric future and inspired by the brand's 120-year tradition, has been revealed as a show car.
Magalie Debellis, Cadillac's Advanced Design Manager, describes the Celestiq as "the purest expression of Cadillac." Inspired by the coachwork of pre-war V16-powered custom sedans, the 1957 custom-built concept car "Eldorado Brougham," and the associated custom craftsmanship, this model is brought to life through the latest production methods and technology.
This body is paired with an EV architecture based on the new "Ultium" battery. It will be equipped with features befitting Cadillac's flagship EV sedan.
Furthermore, this show car incorporates materials and innovative technologies to express Cadillac's vision for the future. It is also planned to feature advanced hands-free driving assistance technology such as Ultra Cruise.
It also features five high-resolution interactive LED displays, including a 55-inch diagonal LED display. An electronic digital blind with active privacy technology is also included, designed to allow passengers to enjoy video content while ensuring it is not visible to the driver.
The variable-transparency smart glass roof incorporates SPD (Suspended Particle Device) technology, allowing for separate lighting adjustments in four zones tailored to each seat. This enables passengers to personalize their comfort and adjust their view.
The Celestiq is poised to be the most advanced model in Cadillac's history. We eagerly await further details on the production version.
