1.5-Liter i-VTEC + IMA
The CR-Z is a new kind of personal sports coupe that maximizes styling and driving enjoyment while improving fuel efficiency by adopting Honda's hybrid system, which combines a 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine with IMA (Integrated Motor Assist). It features a 6-speed manual transmission in addition to a CVT, and a sports chassis for agile handling.
Specifications include a maximum output of 114ps/6000rpm and a maximum torque of 14.8kg-m/4800rpm (113ps and 14.7kg-m for the CVT model). Fuel economy (10.15 mode) is announced at 22.5km/ℓ for the 6-speed manual and 25.0km/ℓ for the CVT.
Japan Debut on February 25
Another key feature of the CR-Z is its 3-mode drive system, which allows drivers to select from "SPORT," "NORMAL," and "ECON" modes. Switching modes adjusts engine response, transmission, and electric power steering settings, enabling drivers to enjoy a tailored driving experience for various situations.
The car is scheduled to be announced in Japan on February 25. Advance reservations have already begun.
