Lower & Wider Form Compared to the Previous Model

The Accord undergoes its first full model change in approximately seven years. The 11th generation model, with the grand concept "Driven by My ACCORD ~To Greater Heights with My Partner Accord~," has been equipped with the latest technology and advanced features.
The body dimensions are 4,975mm in length, 1,860mm in width, and 1,450mm in height. Compared to the previous model, the length has been extended by 75mm and the rear tread by 10mm, creating a characteristic low and wide form.
The exterior features a sleek sedan silhouette, with slim full LED headlights and a one-piece rear combination lamp emphasizing its width.
Additionally, black garnish on the side sills visually shortens the upper body height, further emphasizing the car's length. A sloping rear pillar creates a sleek silhouette from the front.
The interior is predominantly black. It features a 12.3-inch Honda Connect Display and an 11.5-inch head-up display. The "Experience Selection Dial," which allows for easy operation of various functions with a single dial, and Google are also integrated for the first time in a Japanese market model.
This enables the use of Google Assistant and Google Maps via voice commands.
The powertrain utilizes Honda's hybrid system, "e:HEV," which combines a 2.0-liter direct-injection Atkinson cycle engine with a newly developed two-motor inline electric CVT. The engine produces a maximum output of 108 kW (147 PS) and a maximum torque of 182 Nm.
The electric motor alone generates a maximum output of 135 kW (147 PS) and a maximum torque of 335 Nm. This represents an increase in maximum torque compared to the previous model, achieving a balance of excellent drivability and quietness.
Driving modes include "ECON Mode," "COMFORT Mode," "NORMAL Mode," and "SPORT Mode." Additionally, the "INDIVIDUAL Mode" allows drivers to save their preferred settings.
The deceleration selector has been enhanced from the previous model's four stages to six, significantly increasing the maximum deceleration and allowing for more precise control. By fixing the deceleration to the highest stage (6), it's possible to control most acceleration and deceleration using only the accelerator pedal.
Furthermore, the newly developed "Motion Management System" is installed for the first time in a Honda vehicle for the Japanese market. This electronic control system, "Agile Handling Assist," which supports smooth vehicle behavior during cornering, now includes new "longitudinal load control" technology. It assists the driver in operating the vehicle as intended across various driving scenarios, from slippery snowy or wet roads to general driving on city streets and winding roads.
The "Honda SENSING 360" safety system is also making its domestic debut on the Accord. It utilizes a front sensor camera and a total of five millimeter-wave radars to support safe driving. Features include Collision Mitigation Braking System and Adaptive Cruise Control.
In 2025, the "Honda SENSING 360+," an all-around safety and driver-assist system designed to cover blind spots around the vehicle and help prevent accidents while reducing driving load, is scheduled to be adopted for the Accord.
This system will reportedly include new features such as an advanced lane-keeping assist system with hands-off function and an emergency response system for driver incapacitation.
The body colors include five options such as Platinum White Pearl and Ignite Red Metallic. The price is 5,449,400 yen.
