Linear Response and Superb Acceleration
According to Infiniti, the M35 Hybrid is designed to balance performance with fuel efficiency, emerging as the cleanest and most economical car in Infiniti's history.
This model employs a parallel hybrid system that directly connects the electric motor—serving for both propulsion and regeneration—a 3.5-liter V6 engine, and the transmission via two clutches. Naturally, it can also run on electric power alone. The high-power lithium-ion battery, while the same size as conventional battery packs, can supply twice the energy.
Furthermore, the components of this hybrid system achieve exceptionally linear response and outstanding acceleration, successfully realizing the hybrid system envisioned by Nissan's engineers.
While detailed information is expected to be released in a few months, the Infiniti M35 Hybrid is anticipated to debut as a 2012 model.
