1.5-Liter 4-Cylinder + 6-Speed Manual
Considering a market launch in the summer of 2010, the "2009 CR-Z Concept" to be unveiled this time will undoubtedly be presented in a form very close to the production model.
Looking at the released photos, many changes are apparent from the CR-Z Concept that debuted in 2007, including a newly shaped engine hood, more realistic headlights, actual door handles instead of dummies, and a larger quarter window at the rear. The hatchback has also been redesigned, and the rear view bears a slight resemblance to the Insight. The interior is also arranged in a style similar to Honda cars currently on sale.
The powertrain is a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine equipped with Honda's Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) technology. By combining this with a 6-speed manual transmission, the world's first hybrid car that purely allows for the enjoyment of driving will be completed.
The 2009 CR-Z Concept is set to debut at the Tokyo Motor Show alongside the "Skydeck Concept" and the "EV-N Concept," a modern N360 reborn as an electric vehicle with a strong retro feel.
