New Volvo Customer Relations Center to Support Online Purchases

Volvo has announced its transition to becoming a fully electric vehicle manufacturer by 2030. The company had already stated that BEVs would be sold online, a system already in place in Europe and other countries, and now sales have finally commenced in Japan.
Volvo explains that the introduction of online sales is a response to evolving customer needs. Through the Volvo website, customers can select vehicle specifications, receive quotes, and submit purchase requests anytime, anywhere, and at their convenience.
Specifically, buyers can choose the vehicle's color and options on the website. After confirming the price, they can submit a purchase request, with the final purchase plan being handled by a dealer selected by the customer.
The C40 Recharge, announced in November 2021 and now available for online purchase, is a model that blends coupe and SUV characteristics. The "Recharge Twin" model available for sale features motors on both the front and rear axles, powered by a 78kWh battery. It delivers a maximum output of 300 kW (408 ps) and 660 Nm of torque, with a WLTC range of 485 km.
Furthermore, it marks Volvo's first model to feature a completely leather-free interior, with a proactive adoption of recycled materials.
In conjunction with the launch of online sales, Volvo has also established a new Volvo Customer Relations Center (CRC). This center will provide support for the online purchasing experience from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, year-round.
For those unfamiliar with online purchasing or who prefer to buy from a dealer, it is possible to access the website and submit a purchase request with the assistance of an EV Online Advisor, newly appointed at each dealership to coincide with the online sales launch.
The price of the C40 Recharge starts from 7.19 million yen.
