More Performance for the Luxury SUV

Marking its second year since its launch in Japan,Evoque the 2015 model, newly announced in the UK, sees the return of "Autobiography," a name long associated with Range Rover's highest specifications. This designation now graces the "Evoque" for the first time.



There are two Autobiography models. The "Autobiography," the top-class 5-door model, features a gasoline engine with a maximum output of 240ps and a diesel engine with 190ps, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission developed by ZF. The 3-door "Autobiography Dynamic" features a specially upgraded 2-liter inline-4 turbocharged gasoline engine, delivering a maximum output of 285ps (45ps more than before) and a maximum torque of 400Nm (60Nm increase).



For the suspension, 350mm diameter discs are used for the front brakes to allow drivers to fully experience the performance. Furthermore, it is equipped with Torque Vectoring by Braking, which suppresses understeer and achieves superior handling even in high-grip conditions.



Both models feature a newly designed premium grille and 20-inch cast alloy wheels. The interior offers a choice of six luxurious and exquisite leather trim colors. Additionally, the "Autobiography Dynamic" comes standard with "Active Driveline," the world's first four-wheel-drive system that can automatically switch between front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive as needed, while other models offer it as an option.



Furthermore, all 2015 Evoque models are equipped with "InControl Apps," optimized by Land Rover for in-car use. This feature allows users to download "InControl Apps" to their smartphones and connect via a dedicated USB port, displaying optimized smartphone apps on the touchscreen. This enables familiar smartphone operations to be performed on the touchscreen.



While neither model has been officially announced for release in Japan, anticipation remains high for their domestic launch, positioning them as the most luxurious members of the Range Rover family.
