The Peugeot "108" is a new compact hatchback measuring just 3.47 meters long and 1.62 meters wide, making it even smaller than the "208" (the Japanese specification "208" measures 3.96 meters long and 1.74 meters wide). It succeeds the "107," which was not introduced in Japan.
The powertrain options include a 1.0-liter inline three-cylinder VTi engine producing a maximum output of 68ps, paired with either a 5-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission. Additionally, there's an eco-focused e-VTi version of the same engine, and a208and the 1.2-liter inline three-cylinder PureTech VTi engine, also found in models like theCitroën C3, is available with a 5-speed manual transmission. All models boast impressive environmental performance, with CO2 emissions below 100g/km despite being gasoline engines.
The compact body and small engine contribute to a lightweight design, with the car weighing just 840kg. This lightness allows the 108 to offer agile driving enjoyment.
The tires are eco-friendly, available in sizes 165/65R14 or 165/60R15. The braking system features 247mm ventilated discs at the front and 200mm drums at the rear. Furthermore, a tire pressure monitoring system is also equipped.
Body variations include a 3-door or 5-door hatchback. Additionally, there is the "108 TOP!" model, which allows for open-air driving with a canvas top. This canvas top, measuring 80cm wide by 76cm long, operates electrically and can be stopped at any position. It also features an automatic deflector to prevent wind buffeting.

The body colors include a total of eight options, with two exclusive to the 108. The 3-door model also offers two unique two-tone color schemes. The canvas top roof is available in red, grey, or purple, coordinated with the body color.

This increases to 196 liters if the spare tire is replaced with a puncture repair kit. Folding the 50:50 split rear seats creates a maximum cargo space of 750 liters. The rear seats can be folded simply by pulling a strap from the luggage compartment.
A 7-inch touchscreen LCD is located on the center console. This display allows for vehicle settings and navigation control, as well as a "Mirror Screen" function that mirrors smartphone operations directly. With Mirror Screen, users can directly control their iPhone or other smartphones and tablets via the vehicle's touchscreen.
