Traditional Three-Box Saloon Proportions with Elegance and Formality

The DS 9 measures 4,940mm in length, 1,855mm in width, and 1,460mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,895mm. The vehicle weighs 1,930kg for the PHEV version and 1,640kg for the gasoline engine version. Based on an updated version of the EMP2 platform, it is said to excel in ride comfort, quietness, and collision safety.
The exterior features traditional three-box saloon proportions that blend elegance and formality, adopting DS Automobiles' design language, including the expressive front face known as DS Wings and the parametric 3D grille that creates a three-dimensional, diamond-like sparkle.
The front hood is adorned with "Clous de Paris" (a hobnail pattern) chrome embellishments called "saber" (meaning sword), a detail previously used in the interiors of DS Automobiles models. The rear end features a flowing curve connecting the DS badge and the trunk, housing taillights with sculptural, laser-cut diamond-shaped reflectors, inspired by the glass pyramid of the Louvre in Paris.
The interior is the DS 9's true strength, creating a spacious cabin thanks to its long 2,895mm wheelbase. The rear seats, in particular, are crafted with a concept called DS LOUNGE, offering comfort equal to or exceeding that of the front seats.
The OPERA trim features a unique, ruby-like deep red dyed leather called "Art Ruby." Nappa leather is used for the instrument panel's front and top surfaces, the upper parts of the front and rear door trims, and the signature watch strap design seats. Pearl topstitching, derived from haute couture dressmaking techniques, is applied at key points.
The RIVOLI trim features an instrument panel and seats upholstered in chic Basalt Black leather with diamond-pattern stitching. In both trims, the instrument panel deliberately omits wood paneling, a common feature in luxury cars, instead opting for leather covering the entire surface with an elegant arch, accented by stitching.
An analog clock from the luxury watch brand B.R.M. is centrally placed above the 8-inch touchscreen, with touch controls and a diamond-engraved volume dial below. The screen and instrument cluster graphics utilize a repeating diamond motif, which, combined with the original font style, evokes the Art Deco movement that originated in France in the 1920s and spread worldwide.

The DS 9 Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), featuring E-TENSE electrification technology, is powered by a 1.6-liter PureTech turbo gasoline engine (200ps/300Nm) combined with an 81.2kW/110ps electric motor on the front axle. It boasts a system output of 250ps/360Nm, achieving 0-100km/h in 8.1 seconds and a top speed of 135km/h in EV mode. The EV range is 61km according to European WLTC standards, with a hybrid fuel consumption of 14.0km/l.
The gasoline model is equipped with the acclaimed 1.6-liter PureTech turbo engine, delivering high power and torque of 165kW (225ps) at 5,500rpm and 300Nm at 1,900rpm, while maintaining excellent fuel efficiency.
Safety features include DS Active Scan Suspension, which uses a multi-purpose camera to continuously analyze the road surface up to 20 meters ahead and control the electronic dampers of all four wheels predictively based on road conditions; DS Night Vision, which supports nighttime visibility with an infrared camera; DS Driver Attention Monitoring, which alerts the driver by monitoring their gaze and facial movements; DS Active LED Vision with six lighting modes that also illuminate sideways; and DS Park Pilot, which detects parking spaces and handles all necessary steering, acceleration, braking, and gear shifting operations. All technologies previously adopted by DS Automobiles are standard equipment.
There are four body colors available, with prices ranging from 6.3 million to 7.879 million yen.
