Announcing a Three-Seater City Commuter
At the Geneva Motor Show, held until the 19th, Toyota unveiled the "i-TRIL," a compact, three-seater EV concept model, for the first time in the world.

Envisioning Future Urban Mobility
To propose Toyota's vision for future urban mobility,Geneva Motor Showthe "i-TRIL" was announced at the Geneva Motor Show. Design was handled by Toyota's development base "ED² (ED Square)" in Nice, France.
The "i-TRIL" is said to have been developed with the lifestyle of parents aged 30-50, who live in small communities, in mind, anticipating the growth of small and medium-sized cities in Europe in the future.
With a compact body size of 2,830mm in length, 1,500mm in width, and 1,460mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,080mm, it boasts a range of over 200km on a single charge. Toyota claims that its Active Lean mechanism, which automatically controls the vehicle's tilt by vertically moving the front wheels, allows for an immersive driving experience that can be controlled at will.
Incidentally, Toyota2013 Geneva Motor Showannounced the personal mobility EV "i-ROAD" at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The "i-TRIL" represents an evolution, with a 150km increase in range and capacity for three occupants, up from one.
The seating arrangement is a "1+2 layout." The doors form part of the floor, and when opened, the floor step also lifts, allowing for easy entry and exit.
