The third-generation Mégane Wagon makes its Japanese debut | Renault

Third-generation Megane Wagon Arrives in Japan.



The wagon model has been part of the Renault "Megane" lineup through its first and second generations. However, when the Megane underwent a model change to the current third generation in 2008, the wagon model was not introduced to Japan. On July 12th, that Megane wagon was finally brought to Japan as the "Megane Estate GT," tuned by Renault Sport.

The Swift Estate "GT"



The "Megane" evolved into its third generation with a full model change in October 2008. While the wagon model, "Estate," appeared five months after the hatchback model's debut in March 2009, this model was not introduced to Japan.
Recently,News of the Estate model being introduced to Japan as a limited editionwas also reported here, and finally, the "Estate GT" has begun sales in Japan.

In addition to equipment for high dynamic performance, such as the 2-liter turbo engine tuned by Renault Sport producing a maximum output of 180ps/5,500rpm and maximum torque of 300Nm/2,250rpm, and front brake discs with a diameter 16mm larger than those used in other "GT" models (296mm), along with Dunlop high-performance tires in size 225/40ZR18, the interior features a standard BOSE "Energy Efficient Series Sound System" composed of a 7-channel digital amplifier and 8 speakers + 1 woofer, specially tuned for the "Estate GT" by BOSE.

Two body colors are available: "Blanc Glacier" and "Gris Eclipse Metallic." Each color is limited to 30 units, for a total of 60 limited production units.

The price is 3.15 million yen. All models are left-hand drive with a 6-speed manual transmission.
