Equipped with a New Diesel Engine
The highlight of the 2012 version, the "Laguna Coupé Collection 2012," is the integration of the "2.0 Energy dCi 150 engine." This diesel engine, with a maximum output of 150 hp, features an idling stop function and ESM (Energy Smart Management), which optimizes battery charging timing to reduce engine load. It achieves fuel economy of 4.5 L/100 km and CO2 emissions of 118 g/km, a 13 percent reduction from the previous model's 136 g/km.
ESM is also employed in the 175 hp diesel engine (2.0L dCi) and its 180 hp variant. While the idling stop function is not included in these, the former achieves a 9 g/km reduction in CO2 emissions to 150 g/km from the previous 159 g/km, and the latter a 6 g/km reduction to 144 g/km from 150 g/km. Additionally, a 240 hp V6 3.0L dCi engine is available for the diesel lineup. All engines are equipped with particulate filters and comply with Euro 5 standards. Both manual and automatic transmissions can be selected.
Three gasoline engines are offered. In addition to two engines with maximum outputs of 170 hp and 250 hp, a V6 3.5L model with a maximum output of 240 hp, paired with an automatic transmission, is also planned.
Design Sees Minor Revisions
For the French domestic market, the Laguna Coupé is offered in four trims: "Black Edition," "Monaco GP," "GT 4Control," and "Initiale." Changes to the exterior and interior are minimal. LED daytime running lights are now standard across all versions, starting with the entry-level "Black Edition." Other updates include a dashboard with visible stitching and seats combining TEP (synthetic leather) and fabric, available on all versions.
The pearl paint finish, popular in the previous "Monaco GP" version, is now available as an option. The "Monaco GP" version can be specified with a two-tone finish of a black roof and pearl white body, or exclusively in pearl black. The "4Control" version offers a two-tone finish with a pearl black roof and a metallic body color.
In terms of entertainment, audio components with both jack and USB connectivity, and Bluetooth for hands-free calls and audio streaming are standard on all versions. The "Initiale" trim features a 10-speaker Bose® sound system.
Prices start at 31,500 euros in France.
