From "Driving" to "Gliding"

At this year's Tokyo Motor Show, Nissan will present the "BladeGlider," a next-generation EV concept car that pursues a new pleasure of balancing ultimate efficiency with exhilaration. With a focus on aerodynamics, inspired by gliders and delta wings, it aims to achieve both downforce that clings to the road and reduced air resistance, realizing otherworldly cornering and acceleration performance alongside exceptional energy efficiency.

To enhance the exhilarating sensation of gliding, the driver's seat is positioned in the center of the vehicle. Furthermore, a three-seater layout is adopted, with two seats located behind the driver. This prototype model, which looks towards future commercialization, will lead the Nissan brand and its zero-emission leadership.

Additionally, Nissan's latest initiatives, including autonomous driving technology planned for implementation by 2020 and advanced safety technologies, will be showcased.

During the Tokyo Motor Show, information will also be actively disseminated through social media such as Twitter and USTREAM. Live streaming of press briefings and stage presentations is also planned.
