Plug-in Hybrid Coupe Makes Asian Debut
Volvo Car Japan announced its exhibition details for the event at Tokyo Big Sight, starting Friday, November 22.The 43rd Tokyo Motor ShowThe company will unveil the elegant "Concept Coupe," a plug-in hybrid, for the first time in Asia.

A Glimpse into Volvo's New Design Direction
Volvo, known for its sophisticated Scandinavian design and advanced safety features, which have driven recent sales growth, is returning to the Tokyo Motor Show. This year's booth is set to embody the latest Volvo showroom concept, creating a welcoming Scandinavian living space from Sweden.
The centerpiece of this year's show is,Frankfurt Motor Showthe plug-in hybrid " which garnered significant attention upon its announcement at theConcept Coupe" making its Asian debut. Inspired by the "Scalable Product Architecture (SPA)" – a new design concept drawing from Volvo's iconic past – and influenced by the classic "P1800" from the 1960s, this elegant coupe, born under the guidance of Volvo's new design chief, Thomas Ingenlath, signals the future possibilities of Volvo's design language.
The powertrain features a newly developed 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine with both supercharger and turbocharger, combined with an electric motor mounted at the rear. This plug-in hybrid system is expected to deliver a maximum output of approximately 400 horsepower and over 600 Nm of torque.
Also on display will be,the latest "R-Design" models of the 60 series,and the compact " released in February this year,V40among a total of seven vehicles. Additionally, at the center of the booth,an area will explain the workings of the collision mitigation system with pedestrian and cyclist detection.will be featured.
