Held once every two years,Tokyo Motor ShowToyota's vision for future mobility life at the Tokyo Motor Show. Among the highlights is the "FCV CONCEPT," a design concept for a next-generation fuel cell vehicle (FCV) scheduled for release in 2015.

It uses hydrogen, which has a higher energy density than electricity and can be produced from various raw materials. A compact, lightweight new fuel cell and high-pressure hydrogen tanks are arranged beneath the floor of the sedan-type dedicated body, achieving an efficient package. The practical cruising range is expected to exceed 500km. Hydrogen refueling is possible in just 3 minutes, comparable to gasoline vehicles. Furthermore, its external power supply capability is said to be sufficient for over a week's worth of electricity for a typical household, making it a valuable asset in times of disaster.

Also making its world premiere is the "FV2," a concept car embodying the "beloved car" of the future. Instead of a steering wheel, intuitive forward, backward, and lateral control is achieved through the driver's shift in body weight. Furthermore, it infers the driver's emotions through voice and image recognition. It will be presented as a car that enhances the joy of mobility, acting as a partner that suggests recommended destinations based on the driver's condition, informed by accumulated driving skill data and travel history, along with their emotional state.

In addition, the "86 Open Concept," a convertible version of the "86" announced at the Geneva Motor Show and eagerly awaited for commercial release, will have its Japan premiere. Also making their world premieres are the next-generation taxi "JPN TAXI Concept," which embodies Japanese "omotenashi" (hospitality), and concept models of the minivan "Voxy" and "Noah," scheduled for release next year.
