A Luxurious 86

As previously teased, Toyota will unveil the open-concept version of the 86 at the Geneva Motor Show, beginning March 5th. Ahead of this, photos of the interior and exterior have been released.

Although still a concept or study model, the "FT-86 Open Concept" exudes a sense of high quality. It features an electric soft-top and, like the base model, retains rear seats. Toyota states that it "retains the driving enjoyment and sense of unity with the car that the 86 possesses, while adding the 'sense of unity with nature' unique to a convertible model."


The interior and exterior color coordination was handled by a Milan-based designer, achieving a balance of luxury and sportiness. Its bright and vibrant appearance is something we encourage you to see in the photos released today; the interior and exterior are based in white with navy blue accents, while the interior floor mats and stitching feature touches of yellow-gold.
