Symbolizing the Future DS Series

Citroën will begin selling its core DS line—the DS3, DS4, and DS5—in China this year. To commemorate this, the concept car "Numero 9," said to symbolize the future of the DS series, will be unveiled at this Beijing Motor Show.

While not quite a station wagon, its body, with a width of 1.94m and a low height of 1.27m, evokes a shooting brake style, exuding sportiness and luxury. The length is 4.9m, with a wheelbase of 3.0m. Citroën's selling point is that this large body provides a spacious interior and excellent functionality. Furthermore, the "Numero 9" houses a plug-in hybrid powertrain, capable of 50km of electric driving, boasting superior environmental performance.

The model unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show is equipped with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine driving the front wheels, producing a maximum output of 165kW (225ps) and 275Nm of torque. The electric motor is mounted on the rear axle, providing 70ps and 200Nm. Combining their power generates 295ps, achieving fuel consumption of 1.7L/100km and CO2 emissions of 39g/km. It accelerates from 0-100km/h in 5.4 seconds and covers 1km in 25.3 seconds.
