The Aston Martin V12 Zagato was developed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the historic "DB4 GT Zagato," a model born from the collaboration between Aston Martin and Zagato. It debuted in May 2011 at the Villa d'Este Concours d'Elegance held on the shores of Lake Como, Italy.Villa d'Este Concours d'Elegance

Zagato, which has built bodies for Italian cars as a coachbuilder, first partnered with the British brand Aston Martin to create the DB4 GT Zagato. Since then, the two companies have produced numerous historic masterpieces, including the V8 Volante Zagato and DB7 Zagato.

"Our relationship with Zagato spans over 50 years. During that time, we have worked together to create truly special models. The DB4 GT Zagato was the very first of these rare collaborations and a true icon. Its beauty was flawless, it was astonishingly fast, and it commanded universal admiration. The V12 Zagato captures the spirit of the DB4 GT Zagato while offering its own unique brilliance through a modern interpretation," says Aston Martin CEO, Dr. Ulrich Bez.

Aston Martin views the V12 Zagato project as an ideal opportunity to elevate the company's latest technologies and traditional spirit to a new level, rather than simply reviving a historic model. Therefore, while incorporating cutting-edge ideas, materials, processes, and technologies pioneered in the "One-77," their most powerful supercar to date, they have also meticulously preserved the craftsmanship cultivated over nearly 100 years of history during its development.

Production of the One-77 concluded in 2012, and subsequently, the V12 Zagato began production at the company's headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire, England. The body panels, combining aluminum and high-tech carbon fiber, are assembled by hand by highly skilled and experienced craftsmen.

Regarding the all-important powertrain for a sports car, the 6-liter V12 engine mounted in the front-mid position produces a maximum output of 380 kW (517 ps) at 6,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 570 Nm at 5,750 rpm. This endows the V12 Zagato with first-class performance for a modern super sports car, achieving 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 305 km/h.

The final production specification of the car will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show starting March 8th. Production is scheduled to begin in July, with deliveries commencing in October. Production will be limited to 150 units, with the anticipated vehicle price set at £330,000 (excluding tax). The available body colors are Cintila Silver, Arrowood Green, Alba Blue, and Diablo Red. The Aston Martin V12 Zagato, a modern "moving work of art," is undoubtedly one of the must-see vehicles at this year's Geneva Motor Show.
