Test drive the Ferrari 12Cilindri in Luxembourg—the refined and sensual duality of a traditional V12
The Essence of the Latest Grand Tourer Weaving the V12 Bloodline
The test drive route is approximately 130 km long, starting from the historic castle hotel. The undulating country roads winding through vast grasslands offer a panoramic view of overlapping distant hills seen through the windshield.

Amidst this idyllic scenery, as the road changes from wet to dry and the Manettino is switched from "WET" to "SPORT" mode, the 12Cilindri transforms. When the accelerator is pressed, the V12 engine unleashes a sensual sound that evokes Ferrari's lineage, revving sharply towards the 9500 rpm redline, reminiscent of a racing engine.
What is impressive is the characteristic nature of the naturally aspirated V12 unit. The exhaust note, which intensifies with rising engine speed, perfectly synchronizes with acceleration, guiding the driver to an unparalleled level of exhilaration.

The ability to control this immense power at will is another remarkable charm of the 12Cilindri. Based on a newly designed all-aluminum chassis with 15% increased torsional rigidity, cutting-edge electronic control systems that integrally manage technologies such as brake-by-wire, introduced in the 296 GTB, and the improved four-wheel steering (4WS) from the 812 Competizione, achieve outstanding dynamic performance.

The effect is clearly felt in the winding sections. In corners, it traces the driver's intended line with unerring accuracy, and combined with the optimized 2700mm wheelbase, it achieves agile handling that belies its not-so-compact 4733mm length. Through the meticulous engineering of each component and integrated control, it achieves a high-dimensional balance of seemingly contradictory elements: power and lightness, stability and agility.
Driving the diverse approximately 130 km route, from vast grasslands to winding roads, reveals the true nature of the 12Cilindri. It possesses a depth that allows it to effortlessly switch between various personas – gentlemanly in the city, sensual on winding roads, and elegant on the highway – while perfectly responding to the driver's intentions.

This is not mere nostalgia. It is a reinterpretation for the modern era of the multifaceted charm possessed by the V12 grand tourers of the 1950s and 60s, such as the 250 GTO and 275 GTB. While the V12 engine lineage inherited from the 812 Superfast has undergone further evolution, it upholds the tradition of the Ferrari V12 grand tourer while also achieving a high level of comfort and convenience required today.
Even amidst tightening environmental regulations and the wave of electrification, the 12Cilindri carves out a new era as a vehicle embodying Ferrari's unwavering commitment to pursuing the ideal of the true grand tourer. Its presence hints at a new legend for the Prancing Horse.
